A late Victorian diamond and ruby brooch, of scrolled foliate design, the openwork mount encrusted with old-cut diamonds and rose-cut diamond points, centred with a cushion-cut ruby in collet with twisted cable edge, measures 6.7 x 4.7 mm, unmarked metal surface testing as silver on 18ct, 4.6 x 2.7 cm, 12.9 grams.
