An Art Deco sapphire and diamond-set brooch, of architectural design; the rounded rectangular openwork frame centrally-set with three old-cut diamonds, with millegrain bezel surround, the largest diamond measuring approximately 4.5mm, within a navette-shaped openwork surround, set with old-cut diamonds and calibre-cut sapphires, each corner set with additional rows of calibre-cut sapphires, in a white metal mount, with brooch fitting to the reverse, the pin stem with a partially rubbed French dog’s head mark indicating platinum and partially rubbed maker’s mark, measuring approximately 49mm x 22mm; 10.4 grams.
